Midthunder is born in New Shiprock Mexico. She is a member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine Tribe. The majority of her childhood living within Santa Fe where her mother worked at a casting company and she attended an Academy for Technology and the Classics. Amber originates from a Native American family on her father's side. They both are part of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber is of mixed ancestry because her mother was adopted. Prey has a predominantly Native American cast, including Dakota Beavers as Naru's brother and Jhane Meyers who was Comanche and Blackfeet and provided extensive advice to the production. Because of the time that the film is set, it was not an option to cast any animal. Coco as the animal actress who plays Sarii in the movie, was chosen for her rare breed: The American Dingo. This breed, also known as the Carolina Dog, is one of the oldest breeds in existence.
TJ is sending a message through this movie. He narrates that Amanda is his only love. (Although some of it is probably about the girl she is with, if you study the film more). TJ confessed to his love for Amanda, but was rejected by her due to her relationship with Daniel. Then, Jack married Amanda and after her death Emily disclosed her real persona. They have been friends for years. They get married in the end of the series. Amanda gets married to Wilf in the final moments. The entire pot of prize winnings is won by one person
